Christmas at the Bay Part 1

Since I'm recently back from another Mississippi trip, I am reminded of how far these folks have come. I did a little search online just to remind myself of the loss suffered in Bay St. Louis. I'll post pics from our trip as soon as I get the CD :) Merry Christmas!!!

This one is a link to First Baptist Church. This is where we stayed in July...and where we ended up having our Christmas concert. Super nice people!

wow-- I have spent the past hour looking at these pictures. Sad to say that these flat images wouldn't have affected me as deeply if I hadn't been there seeing first hand the devestation. These are people's lives--people's homes and families. It's what they have known and what they know. It's not just a news story. We tend to loose compassion when we distance ourselves from suffering. We need to get uncomfortable.

Check out pics 59 & 60 on the last site I referenced. I think that's the 'hurricane-prove" house.
