~Overnight Bag~
Friday night, I was packing to spend the weekend in Rock Hill with Natalie and Angela and I think I kinda forgot how to pack!! What I mean is that it had been so long since I've had to pack just to go away for a fun trip. I think the last time was last Spring Break when I went to Charleston! I went to Mississippi and go on a World Changers trip over the summer, but that was for work. I did have a blast there though!!!
What I learned: I need to get away from Anderson more often!!! Forgetting how to pack is not a good thing!!
~Food~
After I packed, I headed to Pickens to eat supper with old friends, Jennifer and Heather (see previous post).
What I learned: Having kids is a crazy, crazy job.
~Football~
On to Rock Hill.....I am so thankful to have a friend that enjoys college football as much as I do! Saturday was spent with Natalie and I watching football. We paused to run get a late lunch and do some errands - but lucky for us, Natalie has Tevo, Tebo (whatever), so we didn't have to miss too much football. GO BUCKEYES!!!!
~Universal Game Night~
Saturday night, Natalie hosted game night at her place so I got to meet some of her new friends. We enjoyed 2 hilarious games of Moods!! I didn't win either one of them...sigh...., but a great time was had by all. We also played Signs and I've Never - two very fun games that I learned in Youth Group. We played Signs a little differently than what we play in Anderson --- so now I'm really going to messed up when I play that one again.
~Southern Gentleman~
Nothing impresses me more than a guy that holds doors for me and actually treats me like a lady! I had a guy volunteer to carry my bag for me (of course I knew him --- or Natalie and Angela knew him at least, so he was safe) , but that's not it!! While on the way to lunch, Angela and I got caught at a redlight, so Jamie and Nat were up ahead of us. Instead of leaving us to figure it out ourselves, Jamie pulls over in the median and waits for us. Sorry, but Anderson guys definitely left us at Arby's to find our own way, so I was very impressed with this!!! And then to top things off, Angela, Natalie, and I met their friend Brian at Winthrop Lake to throw the football and play guitar, etc. By the time we got there, this guy had the blanket laid out and had all of our equipment ready to go!! Ahhhmazing!!!!
~Youth Group~
The last thing I did while in Rock Hill, was hang out with North Rock Hill Church's youth group. I got to compete in some competitions with the kids, enjoy their youth band, and learn a little about the ultimate sacrifice God made for us! I've always had an interest with working with the youth, so this was a lot of fun to me!
~Back Home & Thanks~
It's always good to get away and see friends and meet new friends! God has blessed me so much with awesome friends that are crazy about Him. Coming away from a weekend like this past one challenges me to chase after Him even more. Thanks and Love to Natalie and Angela for helping me to 'escape' Anderson for a couple of days :)
